Today is all about the Burmese Star Tortoise! This little guy hatched several weeks ago and we were lucky enough to get the whole process on camera! We collected the egg on 10/17/23 and sent it into what is called a diapause period, where the egg is kept in a cool environment for a few months to simulate the same cold season it would experience in the wild which helps the baby tortoises sync up and hatch with the most favorable seasons.
