Inmate found guilty in stabbing attack at Ely State Prison

Two months ago, I met Shantell inside the women’s state prison, except she was wearing orange. Yesterday, she found me at the employment convention. Shantell did 10 years. Inside, we were able to talk about the kinds of things she would need upon reentry. Seeing her out here is exactly why the work can’t stop at the gate. What we build inside has to carry forward.
