Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet with President Donald Trump after the U.S. president and Russian President Vladimir Putin didn't reach a deal.
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky says he has spoken with US President Donald Trump, as well as other world leaders, following Trump's meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska. Zelensky has also confirmed that he will meet with Trump in Washington on Monday.
At the Alaska-based summit Russian President Vladimir Putin received a red-carpet welcome from the U.S. that included a B-2 bomber fly-by and a ride in the presidential limousine, nicknamed "The Beast" with video of him laughing with Trump.
President Trump had a long call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his flight back to Washington about his talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavett said.
