Sacramento State continues to add star power to its college basketball program after former prep phenom Mikey Williams indicated that he has committed to play for the Hornets next season.

The 6-foot-3 guard initially committed to Memphis out of San Ysidro High School but never joined the team before transferring to Central Florida, where injuries at the beginning and end of last season limited him to 18 games, five starts and a 5.1-points-per-game scoring average.

Former high school phenom and blue-chip recruit Mikey Williams has committed to Sacramento State and coach Mike Bibby, he announced on social media Tuesday. Williams' pledge comes less than 24 hours after Sac State landed NBA legend and Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal as its general manager.

Shaquille O'Neal is adding to his post-NBA resume. According to ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania, O'Neal — who is famously known as Shaq — is returning to the college ranks, as he has agreed to be the general manager for the Sacramento State men's basketball program.
