The Las Vegas Aces visit the Phoenix Mercury on Friday in a WNBA showdown with major playoff seeding implications on the line.

The final month of the WNBA regular season has arrived, which means it's officially time for the playoff push. Each team has fewer than 12 games remaining, and 10 of the league's 13 teams are within reach of a playoff spot.

For the first two months of the season, the Aces were in and out of the playoff picture, suffered a three-game losing streak and were .500 at the All-Star break. The only team to win consecutive titles in the past 20 years, the Aces performed far below preseason expectations.

The Las Vegas Aces defeated the Phoenix Mercury 86-83 for their sixth straight win, with A'ja Wilson scoring 30 points.

After six consecutive trips to at least the semifinals, three Finals appearances and two titles, it seemed as though the Aces' incredible run was coming to an end.  Instead, they've used that result as a catalyst to fuel an incredible late-season turnaround.

There's one month remaining in the WNBA regular season and the Phoenix Mercury's upcoming matchup vs. the Las Vegas Aces could have an impact.

After defeating the Phoenix Mercury, the Las Vegas Aces extended their lucky win streak to seven against the Dallas Wings on Sunday at home.

Jackie Young had 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Las Vegas (20-14). Gray also had a season-high nine assists.
