The Legislative Assembly of El Salvador, dominated by the ruling Nuevas Ideas (NI), approved on Wednesday a constitutional reform that eliminates public funding for political parties for elections.

Bill was presented in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday. The presentation, however, sparked uproar and sloganeering in the Upper House, causing a disruption.
