Gov. Gavin Newsom signed legislation expanding California’s film and TV tax credit to $750M to keep production local.

Joined by elected officials and entertainment industry workers, including Noah Wyle, the star of HBO Max’s “The Pitt” and NBC show “ER,” Newsom said the state will set aside $750 million – instead of the previous $330 million — to give tax credit to more TV and film studios, including independent productions.
