Egypt plans to "present a comprehensive vision for the reconstruction" of the Gaza Strip that does not require the displacement of Palestinians, the country said.

Jordan's King Abdullah II has once again rejected any mass displacement of Palestinians after meeting with President Donald Trump, who has called for the Gaza Strip's roughly 2 million residents to be removed from the war-ravaged territory.

Egypt said on Tuesday it plans to offer a "comprehensive proposal" to rebuild Gaza while ensuring Palestinians remain on their land, according to a foreign ministry statement.
