The Rangers traded right-handed pitcher Codi Heuer to the Detroit Tigers in exchange for cash considerations Thursday afternoon. Heuer, 29, pitched in just one game for the Rangers this season and had a 3.43 ERA in 39 1/3 innings at Triple-A Round Rock.

The Detroit Tigers added bullpen depth in the form of veteran righty Codi Heuer on the day of the MLB trade deadline.

To trade for reliever Codi Heuer, the Detroit Tigers sent cash considerations to the Texas Rangers. Heuer has been assigned to Triple-A Toledo.
