LOS ANGELES - Fire personnel are on the scene of a brush fire that broke out Thursday in the community of Acton. The so-called Hawk Fire broke out in the 35900 block of North Tremar Drive. Officials with Angeles National Forest say the fire is a threat to the nearby national forest.

Evacuation warnings have been issued as a fire burns in the Gorman area Thursday morning, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Dubbed the King Fire, flames continue to grow along the 5 Freeway near Smokey Bear Road,

The fire broke out shortly after 1 a.m. Thursday, east of the 5 Freeway and south of Highway 138 near Pyramid Lake.
