Carlos Narvaez's RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning drove in David Hamilton with the game-winning run as the Boston Red Sox beat the visiting New York Yankees 2-1 Friday night in the opener of a three-game series.

With the first-place Yankees having now lost their last three games against the fourth-place Red Sox, they’ll turn to Carlos Rodón on Saturday.
