While the Knicks are said to no longer be pursuing a trade for the 15-time All-Star, NBA insider Marc Stein reports that Durant would have had interest in landing in New York. Though, Durant “omitted” the Knicks from his preferred list of landing spots after the Knicks made it known they wouldn’t be trading for him early in the offseason.

The New York Knicks are entering an interesting offseason following a defeat in the Eastern Conference Finals. New York has the tools to be very active this summer, and they have been linked with a few big-name players.

New York trading three seasons of Towns for one season of Durant would seem odd, unless they have a desire to clear Towns' contract off their books. He averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 62 games this season for the Suns.
