While visiting a shelter for wildfire survivors in Westwood, former Vice President Kamala Harris said Thursday an increasingly longer California fire season is requiring leaders to think about how they can "do better" in handling the natural disasters.

Asked during her visit on Thursday if she was considering running for governor of California, Ms. Harris did not give a direct answer, but did not rule it out either.
