Netflix's upcoming 'Narnia' movie will be released exclusively in Imax for two weeks before it appears on the streaming service. It is Imax's first deal for a theatrical window for a Netflix feature film.

Netflix is cool with commercials now, but still not theaters. Well, unless it's one of the two exhibition houses it owns: the Egyptian in Hollywood and the Paris in New York. But sometimes, you just have to give Greta Gerwig her way.

Gerwig's Barbie follow-up will hit IMAX for a period of weeks in late 2026 before arriving on the streaming service.

The film will open in IMAX on Nov. 26, 2026, for an exclusive period before streaming on Netflix beginning Dec. 25, 2026
