The upcoming “Snow White” live-action remake, which arrives in theaters March 21, has sparked controversy over its diverse casting and the political views of actresses Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot.

It’s hard out here for Snow White. Yes, the character has it rough, losing her parents, targeted by her jealous stepmother who happens to be both a witch and an evil queen, poisoned by apples, her only friends seven jewel-mining dwarves.

In the new story, written by Erin Cressida Wilson and directed by Marc Webb, we are introduced to Snow White as a girl (Emilia Faucher).
