When it comes to power usage, AMD says the RX 9070 XT has a TBP of 304 W with a recommended PSU wattage of 750 W, while the RX 9070 has a mere 220 W TBP with a 650 W power supply recommendation. Those are some impressively low power figures, particularly given the performance claims.

I've been a fan of AMD's CPUs for some time, but I've never made the move over to its graphics cards. With Nvidia being the market leader, some system requirements don't even list its competitors, and this has led me to (perhaps unfairly) looking over them in favour of Nvidia.

The Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT target players who want fast, high-quality 1440p and 4K graphics at sweet-spot prices under $600.

AMD's decision to start off with mid-range RDNA 4 GPUs now seems prescient. NVIDIA's high-end RTX 5090 and 5080 are already selling well beyond their absurdly high prices, if you can find any in stock at all.
