When a baby ochi is left behind by its pack, she embarks on the adventure of a lifetime to reunite it with its family. The Legend of Ochi is the feature film debut of writer-director Isaiah Saxon.

“The Legend of Ochi,” a scrappy and darkly whimsical fable about a misunderstood teenage girl on a dangerous quest, has the feeling of a film you might have stumbled on and loved as a kid.

Going practical in “The Legend of Ochi” was important to director Isaiah Saxon — and it turned out that was true for A24, too.
