Together, five wildfires burning on Colorado’s Western Slope have consumed hundreds of square miles, destroying at least five homes and 19 outbuildings, fire officials said.

The Lee Fire has burned 127,107 acres of land, and firefighters have contained 3% of the fire. Fire officials state, “the reduction in containment of Lee is because as the fire acreage and perimeter grows, the percent containment decreases overall or comparably – not because any containment has been lost ."
