(Reuters) -The Israeli military on Sunday identified the second of two hostages whose bodies were recovered from Gaza last week as Aviv Atzili, who was taken captive during Hamas' attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. Last Wednesday, the military said it had recovered two bodies of hostages and identified one of them as Yair Yaakov.

The Israeli military recovered the body of de facto Hamas leader Mohammed Sinwar in a tunnel underneath the European Hospital in southern Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Sunday.

Tensions flare once again in the Israel-Gaza conflict as Hamas launches two rockets into Israeli territory. According to the IDF, the projectiles struck open ground near the border fence, causing no casualties.
