Jared Bednar offered some interesting comments on Gabriel Landeskog's status for Game 1 of the Avalanche's clash with the Stars.

Team captain Gabriel Landeskog has been ruled “an option” for the Avalanche’s first-round series against the Dallas Stars, which begins Saturday night in Dallas. Speaking with reporters Friday, Avs head coach Jared Bednar addressed Landeskog’s status for the Western Conference's first-round matchup.

It’s been more than 1,000 days since Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog skated in an NHL game. The 32-year-old forward underwent arthroscopic knee surgery following the 2022 Stanley Cup that was supposed to sideline him for only 12 weeks but ended up costing him the entire 2022 season.
