An Illinois landlord found guilty of a vicious hate crime that left a 6-year-old Muslim boy dead and wounded his mother days after the start of the war in Gaza in 2023 was due in court Friday for sentencing.

Authorities said Joseph Czuba targeted his tenants because they were Muslim and in response to the war between Israel and Hamas.

A total of ten Salisbury University students have now been sentenced in connection to a hate crime and assault investigation that began with an alleged ambush off-campus late last year.
