Three people have died and at least 67 people have been diagnosed with Legionnaires’ disease in a cluster that broke out in the Harlem area of New York City last week, officials said in an update on Tuesday.

Fifty-eight people in New York City have been diagnosed with Legionnaires’ disease, a serious bacterial lung infection, and two people have died, according to the city health department.

A third person has died from Legionnaires’ disease, just one day after the New York City Health Department reported the second death. The number of known cases has grown to 67, according to the New York City Health Department.
