Jimmy Butler has now played seven games for the Golden State Warriors after getting traded (via the Miami Heat) earlier this month. So far, the move looks like one of the best trades in Warriors history.

Brandin Podziemski has received more opportunity as the team’s backup point guard once again — he and Butler have developed an incredible level of chemistry in a short period of time, with the second-year guard averaging five points per 100 possessions more with Butler on the squad.

St. John’s is 15-2 in Big East play and only has one loss in 2025. With the Big East regular season title all but wrapped up and the Red Storm coming off an emotional victory over UConn, they could take their foot off the gas against a sub-.500 team like Butler. Pitino may take the opportunity to limit minutes for a few star players.
