Vance Luther Boelter, 57, was apprehended near his home in Green Isle, Minnesota, roughly 50 miles southwest of Minneapolis.

A gunman posing as a police officer killed the senior Democratic state assemblywoman and her husband on June 14, 2025 in an apparent "politically motivated assassination".

Authorities identified the suspect as 57-year-old Vance Boelter, and the FBI issued a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to his arrest and conviction.
