Federal workers received a second round of emails Friday asking them to report their work accomplishments even after a slew of federal agencies pushed back against the White House’s first round of mass emails, with Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth telling Defense Department workers Sunday to respond to the Elon Musk-led directive.

US federal workers received a second weekend email demanding that they outline their accomplishments of the previous week — but this time with a message saying that it would be an ongoing occurrence.

Elon Musk is trying again on his demand that every federal worker justify their employment weekly. And again, the hastily executed initiative is sowing confusion and resistance throughout the workforce,

But, The New Abnormal’s Danielle Moodie added, “Here in government, when you make those kinds of mistakes, people actually f–-ing die.”

Going forward, the emails will be required on a weekly basis. Those who work on classified and sensitive projects can respond to say they can't disclose the details of their work.

As the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), tasked with slashing federal spending, Elon Musk has already slashed thousands of jobs, forcing agencies to justify their budgets or face deep cuts.
