Los Angeles is now two games up in the standings, with a 71-53 record. The Dodgers are on the road for a four game series at Colorado, before these two teams meet up again next weekend, this time in San Diego. The Padres are now 69-55, and will start a four game series against the Giants on Monday.
The chaotic ending came after All-Star pitchers Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Robbie Ray looked the part through most of the game. Yamamoto threw 91 pitches, 64 of them strikes. Ray was done in favor of Ryan Walker after six innings, giving up two runs on three hits with two walks and six strikeouts. He threw 92 pitches, 54 of them strikes.
Yasiel Puig drove in four runs and rookie Cody Bellinger had a bases-clearing triple as the Los Angeles Dodgers rallied to defeat the San Francisco Giants 13-5 on Tuesday night.
