CINCINNATI — Bengals senior personnel executive Troy Brown appears to be staying in Cincinnati. The Jets are hiring Broncos assistant general manager Darren Mougey to be their next general manager according to Josina Anderson.
The New York Jets have revealed the three finalists for their general manager position and a decision is expected on Thursday, January 23.
The fact that other teams have identified Brown as a key part of the Bengals’ operation says a lot about his value. If and when he does leave, due to a new addition to the NFL’s Rooney Rule pertaining to minority hires, the Bengals would receive two third-round compensatory picks.
