The 7-foot-4 phenom faces criticism for spending too much time on the perimeter, but San Antonio is letting him do it all to maximize his potential as the NBA’s next great big man.

Wembanyama may lead the NBA in blocks for the remainder of his playing days, but if he keeps developing his perimeter game on such high volume, he’ll almost certainly earn a scoring title at some juncture.
