A byproduct of their pride and the spectacular Kyrie Irving, the Dallas Mavericks have been pretty competitive since the Luka Doncic trade. Even still, without Anthony Davis, they’re missing a key piece.

The injuries to the Mavericks’ centers and contract issues with two of their few healthy players have put Kidd in a difficult place.

Moses Brown came in big for the Mavericks as they were missing Anthony Davis, Dereck Lively II, Daniel Gafford, Caleb Martin, and P.J. Washington, as Brown put up a double-double. That helped counter a double-double from Charlotte's Mark Williams, as they found a lot of success on the inside (more on this later).

Shines in first unit Thursday

One player on the Knicks' radar to fill their 15th roster spot is Moses Brown, per SNY's NBA Insider Ian Begley.

KJ Simpson and Nick Smith Jr. started the quarter with back-to-back threes to give the Hornets a 5-point lead, finishing off an 11-0 run dating back to the first quarter.
