Friday’s game was a far cry from Dec. 19, when the Knicks dominated the Timberwolves in Minnesota, 133-107. That night, Edwards scored just 17 points on 16 shots, deferring to Randle, who was still acclimating to his new team after the trade.

Anthony Edwards put on a spectacular performance on Friday night at Madison Square Garden, leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 116-94 victory over the New York Knicks. Edwards scored 36 points, with a standout moment coming in the fourth quarter when he delivered a two-handed dunk over a defender.
Though the Knicks appeared to contain Randle, who was limited to eight points on a mere six tries from the field, Finch was impressed with the way he paved the way for Anthony Edwards to work his Friday magic en route to a 116-99 Minnesota win.
