Organisers called off the Roblox Innovation Awards on Saturday following the arrest of a developer.

Players using the Roblox game creation system will soon have to pay to add the popular 'oof' death sound effect into their games.

The awards ceremony at SF's Roblox Developers Conference was called off after a 25-year-old game developer was arrested on firearm charges, officials said.

'Roblox' has removed its iconic "oof" death sound effect due to licensing issues, however more sound effects will be added in the future.
