Windows 11/10 includes tzutil.exe, a Command-Line Utility. This Windows Time Zone Utility can be used to change Time Zone or to get the current Time Zone details.

There are two ways to set the Time automatically on Windows 11/10. You can use Windows Settings or the Registry Editor for this purpose.

If you have a Windows account that does not have administrative privileges, however, you may find you still can't change the time zone via Windows Settings.

To allow Windows 11 to adjust the time zone, clock, and date automatically, use these steps: Open Settings. Click on Time & language. Click the Date & time page from the right side.

After updating to Windows 11 24H2, some users who don’t have administrative privileges are reporting that the Date & Time section of Windows Settings can’t change the time zone anymore.

Windows 11's January 28 optional update has fixed a long-standing issue in Windows 11 24H2 that prevents non-admin users from changing their time zone in Date & Time Settings.
