Cynthia Erivo is already going to the Oscars as a best actress nominee for “ Wicked ,” but some have expected the star to have a bigger spotlight during the ceremony. As reported by Puck, the Academy is looking to open the telecast with a medley of “Wicked” songs performed by Erivo and her co-star Ariana Grande.

'Wicked' star Cynthia Erivo was seen defying gravity in Massachusetts this week, stopping to eat at a Boston-area pizza shop on Wednesday.

Erivo, bundled in a parka, blew kisses to the crowd and mouthed “I love you” as the car she and costumed members of the Hasty Pudding Theatricals were in slowly made its way through Cambridge. One fan handed her a red rose and several held up signs praising her star power. She also got a few kisses on the cheek from the two theatrical members.
