Work started Friday afternoon on the second special session at the Texas State Capitol. But when the roll call took place in the Texas House, not enough members were in attendance to conduct business.

For weeks, the Texas House has been unable to make quorum, but that will likely change, according to one of the House Democrats who fled to Chicago.

House Speaker said he expected the missing members to return by Monday to resume work on redistricting, THC rules and flood responses.
