Monday's severe weather moving through Minnesota is creating dangerous conditions. According to the National Weather Service, a tornado was observed near Fairmont, Minnesota on Monday afternoon. The federal agency says it also received "multiple tornado reports" near Winnebago in Faribault County.

A First Alert Weather Day is in effect Tuesday night through Wednesday in North Texas. A strong line of storms is expected to move through northern and western counties of North Texas overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.

It’s the end of April, early May, which means it’s time to stay weather aware. There will be several chances of strong to severe storms in the forecast over the next 48 hours across North Texas.

A powerful storm system that brought severe weather to the central U.S. on Sunday and Monday will continue to charge east on Tuesday, fueling a 2,000-mile threat zone stretching from the Northeast to Texas.
