Mary Kate Cornett raced to her boyfriend, Evan Solis’ home after the Ole Miss student learned that the couple was at the center of a viral rumor that she had slept with his father.

In a Facebook statement shared by her dad Justin Cornett, Mary said: “Hello, this is Mary Kate Cornett. I am a student and member of Kappa Delta Sorority at the University of Mississippi. I have been the victim of a deliberate and coordinated cyberattack spreading categorically false and defamatory information.”

The family of University of Mississippi student Mary Kate Cornett has filed a police report for a "malicious, organized and defamatory cyber attack," her dad confirmed on social media.
