"K-pop Demon Hunters," an American-made film, has gained a huge audience in South Korea, thanks to its nods to Korean folklore, pop culture and habits.

The U.K. Singles Chart has its first K-pop No. 1 in 13 years as KPop Demon Hunters ' "Golden" hits the top spot on Friday (Aug. 1). The song features on Netflix's animated musical and is credited to the group HUNTR/X, and is sung by EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami.

And it's not just the film that's a summer hit. The “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack has topped the charts — debuting at No. 1 on Billboard's Soundtracks chart and No. 8 on the all-genre Billboard 200.
