As Gareth Evans promotes his new Netflix thriller, Havoc, his thoughts have drifted back to The Raid: Redemption, the 2011 martial arts film widely considered the decade's action movie benchmark.

Struck by Uwais' charisma and camera presence, Evans cast him in his first movie, 2009's Merantau. They then reteamed for The Raid films, which inspired everything from John Wick to Monkey Man.

Once again directed by Gareth Evans, The Raid 2 follows a similar premise to the first. This time, Rama is recruited into an internal affairs unit investigating widespread corruption within the force.
