Now, NASA has released remarkable video captured during the historic flyby, offering the closest views of the sun ever recorded. The new images were captured with Parker's Wide-Field Imager for Solar Probe, or WISPR, revealing a never-before-seen view of the sun's corona and solar winds shortly after they are released from the corona.

The Parker Solar Probe, designed, built, and operated by the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab, captured the images during its closest approach in December 2024

From one perspective, the Sun is a benevolent orb of plasma and its warmth makes Earth habitable and has kept it habitable for billions of years, allowing complex things like human beings to evolve.
