The Gilded Age will return for a fourth season. The Julian Fellowes -created HBO series earned a season 4 renewal two weeks ahead of its season 3 finale, HBO announced Monday, July 28.

HBO renewed "The Gilded Age" for a fourth season due to increasing viewership and positive fan engagement. Season 3 viewership has grown 20% compared with Season 2, and social media engagement has increased by almost 60%.

Per HBO, the fifth episode of the show’s third season reached 4 million viewers in Live+3 viewing. That beats the previous series high set just last week with episode four’s 3.8 million viewers. The show is outperforming its previous season by 20% thus far and reached its highest-ever weekly viewership on HBO Max, based on weekly viewing accounts
