Google today released the Android 15 source code to AOSP and revealed that the stable update will reach Pixel devices in the coming weeks.

This code snippet retrieves the Android version and SDK level, which can be useful for developing apps that need to be compatible with different versions of Android.

But for the launch of Android 10 in 2019, Google took a step back from this association, instead embracing the numerical version as the preferred way to talk about Android.
