The former director of Project 2025, Paul Dans, launched a Senate race against longtime incumbent Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., on Monday, saying he wants to bring Project 2025’s controversial right-wing agenda to the Senate—and becoming one of several further-right candidates now challenging latter-day Trump ally Graham.

Paul Dans, the main force behind the polarizing conservative blueprint Project 2025, is planning to challenge South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham in next year’s Republican primary.

Dans, who is set to formally announce his campaign at an event later this week in Charleston, said Graham has spent most of his career in Washington and “it’s time to show him the door.”
