Organizers announced Thursday the festival will run July 12-14 with the theme Mad About Moxie, which is a take on Coca-Cola’s marketing slogans from back in the day.

Moxie Festival to return to Lisbon this summer. The traditional Moxie parade, chugging contest, 5K road race, fireworks show and car show will be held during the three-day festival.

The Lisbon Town Council voted 5-1 to cancel the town’s Moxie Festival this summer due to the coronavirus pandemic. Instead, the town will try to hold smaller community events through the summer.

The three-day festival will be held from Friday, July 8 to Sunday, July 10. The events will include the traditional Moxie Parade, fireworks show, 5K road race, a car show and Moxie chugging event.
