An all-clear was declared at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital on Wednesday evening after a 'swatting' call reporting an armed man.

Investigators believe a Wednesday evening, March 12, call about an armed man in the children’s section of the Loma Linda University Medical Center that prompted evacuations and a response of 100-plus officers from across the region was a hoax, authorities said. There were no injuries, and no gunshots fired, they said.

Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department are clearing the Loma Linda University Medical Center after receiving calls about a "possible man with a gun."Initially, the sheriff's department described the incident as an armed individual.
