President Trump has taken aim at late-night hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon in the days since Stephen Colbert's top-rated CBS show was canceled, predicting that both of the Jimmys will soon be out of a job and taking credit in advance.

After Colbert announced CBS’ decision to cancel his show, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, on July 17, Trump took to Truth Social the following day to claim that Colbert has no talent. In the same post, he threatened that Kimmel “is next” because he “has even less talent than Colbert.”

Critics, however, have called out the timing of the announcement, which came in the same month that Paramount Global, the parent company of Colbert's network, agreed to pay $16 million to President Donald Trump over an interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris that aired on 60 Minutes in November.
