Arsenal chiefs are now targeting an "all-round" Aston Villa star, coming after arch rivals Tottenham attempted a swap deal for the player last summer.

Gabriel Martinelli has suggested Arsenal need to bolster their attack this summer and welcomes the competition for places any new arrivals would bring.

The Gunners are in the market for attacking reinforcements, with Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams among those on their radar. Williams would be direct competition for Martinelli on the left flank, but the Brazilian insists he would relish the challenge any new arrival would bring.
