Residents in Greer and South Fork have been ordered to evacuate their homes after the Greer Fire broke out Tuesday in the small eastern Arizona town.

Multiple buildings have been destroyed and new evacuations have been ordered as a wind-driven wildfire has nearly doubled in size as it burns through parts of Apache County.The Greer Fire, which was reported to be a 10-acre wildfire late Tuesday morning,

Residents south of State Route 260 and west of River Road were told to evacuate, as of May 14, 2025, as the Greer Fire continued to burn.
